I have a New Year’s wish
A little New Year’s list
Of things to do

First you have to end all the wars
Make it so nobody kills anybody anymore
Then you have to feed
All those in need
And so many diseases
Well, you just pick one, and you find the cure

For a little while
How ‘bout pouring candy down like rain

And poverty
As far as the eye can see

That it has to be

Is it too much to hope for?
